Blog of the Month: Franca from A Moment with Franca

Blog of the Month celebrates a blogger that is really making their mark in our Tots100 Chart. This month the accolade goes to Franca from A Moment with Franca. Franca describes her blog as ‘my little space on the internet’ where she writes about family and their adventures as a family. Franca also tells what is like being a Peruvian ex-pat living in London. You can follow Franca and chat to her on Twitter.
What are your blogging plans for the next six months
I really want to focus more on travelling. I have already started a travel niche on my blog but still needs to work more on it so I would be dedicating more time on this.

Why did you start blogging?
I was made redundant in 2012 and since then, with the support of Nick, my husband, I became a SAHM. I was actually very happy to be able to be around my eldest daughter all the time and I felt lucky to be able to see her grow up. In the meantime, I got pregnant again with my second daughter and I was able to enjoy the time with both my girls. When my youngest was about 7 months old and her schedules were more manageable I thought about doing something alongside being a SAHM. I always love making videos so I started my YouTube channel, A Moment With Franca. The name came after thinking that it will be me sharing with my followers some moments of my life. Alongside my channel, my blog, also called A Moment with Franca, was born in May 2015.
What are three of your best posts from the past year?
- My thoughts about turning 40 which you can read here and it seemed to really resonate with others.
- My trip to Basel which was a press trip with a few other bloggers. We were able to experience the traditional and stay in a beuatiful hotel. It was a great experience and travel blogging is something I continue to focus on.
- My first Red Carpet Invitation to see Goodbye Chrsitopher Robin was such a fun and surreal moment. Blogging certainly provides some off the wall opportunities.
Which blog do you love to read?
I like reading a few blogs. It is hard to mention just one blog as each has something different that I like. But I really like Alison’s blog Not Another Mummy Blog. I met her last year on a trip we did to Paris and she is lovely! She is now more into Podcasts which I find super interesting.
